"Six months ago I hobbled into your office for the first time, my foot and leg numb to my knee, shooting pain under the arch of my foot and nerve spasms that felt like itching on the inside of my leg. I had already been to a podiatrist who, after x-rays and an exam, diagnosed the problem as a nerve entrapment in my foot. He prescibed some orthotics and lots of Motrin.
